LEITRIM
Leitrim with its beautiful lakelands, its deep valleys and unspoiled terrain
is famous for its international course fishing. With a mixture of plains and
hills and plenty for the eye to take in Leitrim is ideal cycling country.
The county's principal town Carrick-on-Shannon is a centre for boating and
cruising on the Shannon river. Leitrim is divided by Lough Allen, which is
one of the locations where you can fish for wild trout and salmon in pure
waters.
